God didn’t save us just so we could be with Jesus someday in heaven. (although that is one of the great benefits of faith in Jesus Christ!) Nor did He place you on this planet so you could occupy space and use up resources. Nor did He save you so you could watch TV or play video games all day and live a life of comfort. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ God saved you and placed you here on planet Earth so that He could do something good in you, for you, with you and through you! He saved you to be good for something.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
Psalm 138:8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.
